2012 in Review:

Women Build II

2012 proved to be another productive year for us here at Habitat.  Our first build this year was our second Women Build House.  An exceptionally dedicated and energetic group of women came together to coordinate the second LowCountry for Humanity Women Build.  This group worked tirelessly raising funds for this build- from jazz concerts, to chef demonstrations, to 5K races!  We are grateful to have such supporters here in the beautiful lowcountry.

 Church Build

Our next build for 2012, a Church Build, found us back in downtown Beaufort on oddly enough, Church Street.  This was our third church-sponsored house for someone in our community.  Area churches came together to sponsor this build.  The house will be dedicated in December 2012, just in time for Christmas!   

 Looking forward:

Although construction volunteers are taking a well-deserved and hopefully short break, others are busy raising funds for two more builds!  The Cat Island/Royal Pines house is halfway to their goal of sponsoring a house and the Vet Build is well underway as well.
