Construction Update – February 8, 2018

every hand
makes a difference

This week, Palmetto Masonry have dug the footings of the 25th Anniversary house build at 904 Greene Street, (pictured above.) We are currently waiting on the permiting for our Greene Street house builds but hope to have construction volunteer opportunities soon!

This Saturday and next Tuesday through Thursday, between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm, we will be cleaning and painting at the warehouse, which is in need of some t.l.c.

Last year, on Tuesday through Thursday mornings, our talented team of volunteer craftsmen and painters contributed almost 5,000 hours, producing the ReStore’s exclusive Beaufort Collection of porch furniture. If you would like to help us make the warehouse more accommodating for our volunteers, please email our construction manager at michael@lowcountryhabitat.org at least 24 hours prior, so that he will know to plan accordingly. In the event of inclement weather, or change of plans, Michael will notify all volunteers planning to work that shift, by email.

Reminder: We are currently seeking experienced construction volunteers who will be able to make a regular commitment on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays on the Greene Street House Builds. The warehouse is also in need of experienced craftsmen and painters. If you are interested, please contact Lee in the office on 843-522-3500or email info@lowcountryhabitat.org.Thank you!
