Construction Update, July 18, 2019

Hunter, Phuti, Jonathan & Noah are Missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We held a Volunteer Orientation at the church yesterday morning and today, 9 new volunteers are on the job site! Picture by Michael.

Thanks so much to all the wonderful volunteers who have worked on our Faith House Build at 2523 Mossy Oaks Road, and the Dataw 2 House Build at 2521 Mossy Oaks Road, this week.

This Saturday and next Tuesday, we will be insulating at the Faith House Build, so please wear a long sleeve shirt. Next Wednesday and Thursday, we will install interior doors and trim at Dataw 2. Friday, we may move to the warehouse to assemble kitchen cabinets. Please check next week’s construction update, when we will confirm plans for Friday.

IMPORTANT! ALL construction volunteers are requested to sign up to volunteer, directly, using our new online sign up. To offer more flexibility, we are now including Faith Build volunteers. Some of our Faith organizations have experienced difficulty in furnishing teams on their designated dates, and we hope that with the opportunity to volunteer any day between Tuesday and Saturday, that more Faith Build volunteers will be able to participate.

Next, scroll down to the calendar and select the date of your choice, then click on either “Dataw 2 Construction” or “Faith Build Construction”.  If you wish, you will be able to sign up for the next two months, very quickly, by selecting “Pick More Dates”, shown beneath the date originally selected, then click “Submit”. Back at the sign up page, be sure to click the “I’m not a Robot” and “Submit” buttons. After submitting your volunteer registration, you will receive a confirmation email. (If you do not receive a confirmation email, your registration has not been submitted. Try again!) If you later discover that you are not able to volunteer, or if you have any questions, please respond to this email, or phone Lee at the office at 843-522-3500.

Please note that our Family Partners have a slightly different process for registration.

LowCountry Habitat for Humanity thanks all our volunteers for helping us to bring people together to build homes, communities and hope in northern Beaufort county.
