30 Oct Construction Update – October 30, 2015
To all this week’s wonderful Construction Volunteers, Thank You for the great response to last Friday’s Construction Update! This week we’ve had good size crews working on the two houses at Mint Farm. Please plan to return next week, and keep up the great work!
This week, Wednesday was “Picture Day” at Mint Farm. At the Stud House Bobbi and Art painted trim, while Bill fitted window shades. At the Tribute House, (the kitchen is now installed,) Jim kept Bob and Paris supplied with the cut to size lengths of flooring to install. (Be sure to bring your best smile to the construction site, as you never know which day of the week might be Picture Day!)
Tomorrow, the Saturday crew will continue to work on the two storage sheds. Next Tuesday through Thursday the focus is on trim and painting the exterior of the Tribute House. Jerry is in particular need of our volunteers with excellent painting skills.
We’re nearing the completion of these two houses and to keep on schedule we will continue to need full crews on each of our construction days, Tuesday through Thursday, and Saturday. Remember that we begin promptly at 8 a.m. and finish around noon. Directions to Mint Farm
Thanks to all our fabulous Construction Volunteers, for everything that you do to help LowCountry Habitat for Humanity build Homes, Hope, and Community in northern Beaufort County. We could not fulfill our mission without you!
