Updated: May 14, 2012- Last week the crews continued the work at the Church Street build site in the Northwest Quadrant.  Interior walls, porch framing and exterior sheathing are all projects under way.  This coming week plans are to finish the interior walls, complete the nailing on the sheathing and framing for the porch roof.  Mid week the roof trusses are scheduled for delivery and installation (with a crane) to follow shortly thereafter.  Hope to see you on the jobsite!

There is a lot of concern in the news lately for Veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan and seeking viable employment. At LowCountry Habitat, we have a different set of concerns – affordable housing. In fact, we have a local veteran who served honorably for seven years – including overseas – who, with his family – has been accepted into our homeownership program.

However, his house cannot be built without proper funding…and that’s where we need YOUR help.
