Donations of land, funds and materials/services are the lifeblood of each Habitat affiliate. All of these resources are raised locally; direct financial support does not come from Habitat International.

Instead, our local affiliate tithes 10% of all undesignated funds to Habitat International, so houses can be built in developing countries around the world. We are delighted that our affiliate has contributed funding for building six homes in Zambia and nine homes in Nicaragua.

Your gift changes lives, gives hope for the future and strengthens families in the LowCountry. We sell homes to motivated, qualified, working families based on the belief that every person deserves a quality, affordable place to live.

Your contribution supports our local community. We build and sell affordable houses in the LowCountry.

LowCountry Habitat uses your money wisely. Approximately 85 cents of every dollar goes directly toward home building and homeowner programs and services, rather than administrative overhead.

Your gift strengthens LowCounty neighborhoods. Vacant lots once overgrown and degraded with garbage are transformed into homes where children and families flourish. LowCountry Habitat works to construct houses in groups so that neighbors can work together to improve entire neighborhoods. Homeowners are active in their communities and schools.

We build partnerships and community beyond the neighborhoods where we build. We bring together volunteers of diverse backgrounds to build a single home. These volunteers gain new unde rstanding and an appreciation for others, not to mention new and lasting friendships.
