24 Sep Construction Update – September 24, 2015
The Stud House and the Tribute House, #19 and #20 Mint Farm Drive are both coming along wonderfully, thanks to the hard work of our fabulous construction volunteers. Construction Manager, Jerry Hammond is confident that the homes will be completed before Thanksgiving!
If you have attended Volunteer Orientation, and are keen to “swing a hammer”, regular construction hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m. sharp, and finishing at noon. Directions to Mint Farm: From Broad River Blvd. turn left at Jennings, (posted to Battery Creek High School) and take the first left to Mint Farm Drive. You will see the two homes under construction directly ahead.
This Saturday, September 26 we are very excited to welcome the Junior Service League of Beaufort to Mint Farm. The JSLB will be working with Jerry and Saturday Construction Supervisor, Daniel McLaughlin, to clean all the windows, inside and out of the two houses, and also move two huge piles of soil into the planting areas around the porch and the newly poured driveways. Thank You JSLB!
Our regular Saturday crews are requested to stay home this Saturday, enjoy your day off and the cool Fall weather; we look forward to seeing you again on Saturday October 3!
Thanks again to all our wonderful and dedicated Construction volunteers for everything you do to help LowCountry Habitat for Humanity build Hope, Homes, and Community in Northern Beaufort County. We could not accomplish our mission without YOU!
