10 Jun Good News To Share!
LowCountry Habitat for Humanity is so excited to announce that the walls of The Brays Island 2 House Build have been raised! Spread over three days, in order to comply with CDC guidelines, Family Partner, Denise and Construction Manager, Michael, were joined by volunteers, including several members of Denise’s family. As each day’s crew is now restricted in size, the walls were built in smaller sections than is our usual practice, to enable each crew to raise them. If you have completed volunteer orientation and want to be part of all the excitement on this build, you can sign up to join a crew here. The fruits of each volunteer’s contribution can be seen, and felt, very clearly in the joy-filled faces of Denise and her daughter Jamie. Many thanks to our volunteer photographer, Josh Ward.
This week’s newsletter is a little earlier than usual because we want to remind everyone that the ReStore reopens tomorrow at 10 am. Jenny and her staff have been working very diligently on preparing the store to be ready to welcome back our shoppers and donors. Several safety protocols have been established in order to keep everyone safe:
We miss all our volunteers that have not yet returned and hope that we will be able to welcome them back soon. Watch this space for developments!
