Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry is part of a global nonprofit housing organization that operates across all 50 states in the U.S. and in approximately 70 countries. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

The Lowcountry affiliate has served Beaufort and Jasper counties since 1990, building strength, stability, and self-reliance for each family stabilized through affordable housing. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes and pay affordable mortgages. Homeownership breaks cycles of poverty, low education, and income levels, and improves community-wide outcomes. Beaufort and Jasper counties are proudly home to over 178 Habitat homes.
